Chusquea coronalis is known from localities with an annual mean temperature of 21.8°C and precipitation of 1619 mm. Temperatures show moderate seasonality (standard deviation ~187.2), varying from 31°C in the warmest month to 12.6°C in the coolest (isothermality ratio ~68.8). Precipitation shows considerable seasonality (coefficient of variation ~86.5), varying from 543 mm in the wettest month to 0 mm in the driest. The mean temperatures of the wettest (totaling 1283 mm) and driest (totaling 3 mm) quarters being 22.6°C and 20.8°C, respectively, and the mean precipitation of the warmest (29°C) and coolest (0.2°C) quarters being 392 mm and 175 mm, respectively.
