Olyra standleyi is known from localities with an annual mean temperature of 22.8°C and precipitation of 2091 mm. Temperatures show relatively little seasonality (standard deviation ~69.6), varying from 28.7°C in the warmest month to 16.8°C in the coolest (isothermality ratio ~77.7). Precipitation shows considerable seasonality (coefficient of variation ~50.8), varying from 636 mm in the wettest month to 8 mm in the driest. The mean temperatures of the wettest (totaling 1449 mm) and driest (totaling 44 mm) quarters being 22.5°C and 22.6°C, respectively, and the mean precipitation of the warmest (28°C) and coolest (10°C) quarters being 422 mm and 620 mm, respectively.
