Mniochloa pulchella is known from localities with an annual mean temperature of 21.6°C and precipitation of 795 mm. Temperatures show considerable seasonality (standard deviation ~275.9), varying from 31.9°C in the warmest month to 10.6°C in the coolest (isothermality ratio ~61.7). Precipitation shows considerable seasonality (coefficient of variation ~78.1), varying from 206 mm in the wettest month to 4 mm in the driest. The mean temperatures of the wettest (totaling 529 mm) and driest (totaling 16 mm) quarters being 23.8°C and 19.7°C, respectively, and the mean precipitation of the warmest (28.6°C) and coolest (12.1°C) quarters being 306 mm and 56 mm, respectively.
