Lithachne horizontalis is known from localities with an annual mean temperature of 22.1°C and precipitation of 1526 mm. Temperatures show moderate seasonality (standard deviation ~184.7), varying from 30.5°C in the warmest month to 12.9°C in the coolest (isothermality ratio ~62.8). Precipitation shows considerable seasonality (coefficient of variation ~71.5), varying from 385 mm in the wettest month to 4 mm in the driest. The mean temperatures of the wettest (totaling 1076 mm) and driest (totaling 28 mm) quarters being 23.7°C and 19.9°C, respectively, and the mean precipitation of the warmest (26.1°C) and coolest (16.9°C) quarters being 492 mm and 79 mm, respectively.
