Chusquea pohlii is known from localities with an annual mean temperature of 23.1°C and precipitation of 2928 mm. Temperatures show relatively little seasonality (standard deviation ~66.2), varying from 29.2°C in the warmest month to 17.5°C in the coolest (isothermality ratio ~78.9). Precipitation shows considerable seasonality (coefficient of variation ~51.3), varying from 530 mm in the wettest month to 3 mm in the driest. The mean temperatures of the wettest (totaling 1295 mm) and driest (totaling 20 mm) quarters being 22.8°C and 23.3°C, respectively, and the mean precipitation of the warmest (27.9°C) and coolest (11.1°C) quarters being 529 mm and 749 mm, respectively.
