Chusquea peruviana is known from localities with an annual mean temperature of 17.6°C and precipitation of 1400 mm. Temperatures show moderate seasonality (standard deviation ~102.4), varying from 24.4°C in the warmest month to 9.6°C in the coolest (isothermality ratio ~77.5). Precipitation shows considerable seasonality (coefficient of variation ~55.9), varying from 299 mm in the wettest month to 7 mm in the driest. The mean temperatures of the wettest (totaling 827 mm) and driest (totaling 33 mm) quarters being 18.2°C and 16.4°C, respectively, and the mean precipitation of the warmest (26.5°C) and coolest (6.8°C) quarters being 422 mm and 273 mm, respectively.
