Aulonemia laxa is known from localities with an annual mean temperature of 22.1°C and precipitation of 1637 mm. Temperatures show moderate seasonality (standard deviation ~159.3), varying from 31.2°C in the warmest month to 13°C in the coolest (isothermality ratio ~68). Precipitation shows considerable seasonality (coefficient of variation ~86.3), varying from 464 mm in the wettest month to 3 mm in the driest. The mean temperatures of the wettest (totaling 1269 mm) and driest (totaling 12 mm) quarters being 22.8°C and 21.4°C, respectively, and the mean precipitation of the warmest (28.6°C) and coolest (12.4°C) quarters being 432 mm and 140 mm, respectively.
