Atractantha cardinalis is known from localities with an annual mean temperature of 22.9°C and precipitation of 1195 mm. Temperatures show moderate seasonality (standard deviation ~153.6), varying from 28.8°C in the warmest month to 16.6°C in the coolest (isothermality ratio ~64). Precipitation shows relatively little seasonality (coefficient of variation ~28.9), varying from 203 mm in the wettest month to 25 mm in the driest. The mean temperatures of the wettest (totaling 584 mm) and driest (totaling 100 mm) quarters being 24°C and 21.5°C, respectively, and the mean precipitation of the warmest (26°C) and coolest (18.4°C) quarters being 337 mm and 254 mm, respectively.
