Arthrostylidium youngianum is known from localities with an annual mean temperature of 20°C and precipitation of 2438 mm. Temperatures show relatively little seasonality (standard deviation ~36.8), varying from 25°C in the warmest month to 15°C in the coolest (isothermality ratio ~86.8). Precipitation shows moderate seasonality (coefficient of variation ~33), varying from 446 mm in the wettest month to 31 mm in the driest. The mean temperatures of the wettest (totaling 1285 mm) and driest (totaling 134 mm) quarters being 19.9°C and 20.1°C, respectively, and the mean precipitation of the warmest (26.4°C) and coolest (10.6°C) quarters being 644 mm and 619 mm, respectively.
