Chusquea pallida is known from localities with an annual mean temperature of 26.3°C and precipitation of 1506 mm. Temperatures show relatively little seasonality (standard deviation ~64.6), varying from 32.3°C in the warmest month to 20.5°C in the coolest (isothermality ratio ~79.3). Precipitation shows considerable seasonality (coefficient of variation ~52.8), varying from 419 mm in the wettest month to 18 mm in the driest. The mean temperatures of the wettest (totaling 933 mm) and driest (totaling 71 mm) quarters being 26.2°C and 26°C, respectively, and the mean precipitation of the warmest (28.6°C) and coolest (23°C) quarters being 282 mm and 430 mm, respectively.
