Chusquea nobilis is known from localities with an annual mean temperature of 16°C and precipitation of 1814 mm. Temperatures show relatively little seasonality (standard deviation ~34.7), varying from 21.5°C in the warmest month to 10.5°C in the coolest (isothermality ratio ~88.3). Precipitation shows moderate seasonality (coefficient of variation ~37.1), varying from 394 mm in the wettest month to 2 mm in the driest. The mean temperatures of the wettest (totaling 1161 mm) and driest (totaling 9 mm) quarters being 15.9°C and 15.9°C, respectively, and the mean precipitation of the warmest (25.2°C) and coolest (4.9°C) quarters being 476 mm and 465 mm, respectively.
