Chusquea diversiglumis is known from localities with an annual mean temperature of 26.1°C and precipitation of 2844 mm. Temperatures show relatively little seasonality (standard deviation ~42.3), varying from 31.9°C in the warmest month to 20.6°C in the coolest (isothermality ratio ~87.9). Precipitation shows moderate seasonality (coefficient of variation ~33.9), varying from 452 mm in the wettest month to 58 mm in the driest. The mean temperatures of the wettest (totaling 1234 mm) and driest (totaling 183 mm) quarters being 25.7°C and 26.3°C, respectively, and the mean precipitation of the warmest (27.1°C) and coolest (24.9°C) quarters being 531 mm and 935 mm, respectively.
