Chusquea angusta is known from localities with an annual mean temperature of 21.6°C and precipitation of 2216 mm. Temperatures show relatively little seasonality (standard deviation ~51.6), varying from 27.8°C in the warmest month to 15.5°C in the coolest (isothermality ratio ~82.7). Precipitation shows considerable seasonality (coefficient of variation ~53.8), varying from 469 mm in the wettest month to 26 mm in the driest. The mean temperatures of the wettest (totaling 1289 mm) and driest (totaling 96 mm) quarters being 21.5°C and 21.5°C, respectively, and the mean precipitation of the warmest (26.8°C) and coolest (6.9°C) quarters being 399 mm and 565 mm, respectively.
